Let’s face it; woodworking supplies are one of the items you consider may already have a reasonable back stock. By woodworking supplies, we are referring to hardwoods or softwoods types of supplies etc. This is one of the primary areas that separate a true businessperson and a hobbyist. There’s only one-way to buy raw materials for a business: wholesale, wholesale, wholesale. If you are buying materials from a retailer, regardless of whether they were on sale or not, you are paying the retailers profit margin and overhead. To really effectively find raw materials, you’ll need to seek out wholesalers or distributors and buy materials in larger quantities than your previous retail purchases. Once you’ve planned your initial budget for outgoing money, you need to make a plan to get incoming money. Most woodworkers find the process of planning their rates troublesome.
